SHARPENING STONE 1000/6000SHARPENING STONE 1000/6000

This sharpening kit is a must-have in your kitchen and home!

This kit includes a double-sided sharpening stone with two different levels of grit, allowing you to hone dull knives or refine sharper ones by simply flipping it over. The angle guide keeps the knife on the correct angle, the silicone non-slip mat and the wooden base would hold the whetstone safely in place while sharpening.

How to Get Your Knives Razor Sharp :

  1. Prepare the whetstone by soaking it in cold water for at least 10 minutes.
  2. ️ Place the whetstone on a flat surface, and make sure that the coarse side of the stone is facing upward. Place the knife on the whetstone at the optimum angle, which is usually between 15 – 20 degrees.
  3. Begin with the base of the knife. While applying downward pressure with your fingers to the backside of the blade, push the knife forward in a diagonal direction. At the end of the stroke, you should have reached the tip of the knife. Bring the blade back towards you while maintaining the same angle between the knife and the stone. Repeat this process 10 – 20 times.
  4. Turn the knife over and repeat step 3.
  5. Repeat steps 3 – 4 with the fine grit side of the stone facing upward.
  6. While sharpening, a slurry may appear on the whetstone. Do not wipe this off, as the slurry aids in the sharpening process.
  7. After sharpening, examine the blade to make sure that there are no nicks or inconsistencies.
  8. Rinse the whetstone and knife and you’re done!

Knives are a common fixture in our everyday lives, be it in the kitchen, workplace or the great outdoors.
